Anyone – boat builder, motor company, engineer, naval architect, member of the public – can nominate a boat for the 6th annual Gustave Trouvé Electric Boat Awards, but you have to do it before Sunday, October 19 at Midnight Eastern Time (UTC -5). The International Judging Panel will then decide the Finalists and Public Voting begins October 27, 2025.

In an agreement signed during Thailand’s recent SX Sustainability Expo, 10 Candela electric flying ferries have been ordered by Thai sea transport company Seudamgo to operate on a route between the mainland and Koh Kood in Trat province.

With the addition of a new Aqua superPower marine fast charger at Marina Genova in the Port of Genoa, the world’s longest electrified coastline spans a distance of about 300 km / 185 miles along the Mediterranean Sea, from Genoa to St. Tropez.

German performance boatbuilder Stern Yachts is going electric – working with Vision Marine Technologies on an optimized version of their Sterk 31 that will be powered by a dual E-Motion 180E electric powertrain system.

This marks the first dual application of Vision Marine’s system and is the result of a joint effort by the engineering teams of both companies. The Sterk 31e will be revealed in-water at the Bahia Mar G Dock of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) October 29 to November 2.
